#player2 Patricia_Barrett Patricia Barrett
>Jim_Burlant: ?BCEORW 8D BECROWn +82 82
#note Why play a real word when I can make one up? ;-) The real words in this rack are BECROWd and COWHERb. WHoops.
>Patricia_Barrett: IISW K5 IWIS +28 28
>Jim_Burlant: EEGHIUV J2 VUGH +24 106
#note Q prefers CUVEE F8 by 3 equity points, presumably due to leaving 2 consonants and a vowel instead of 3 vowels.
>Patricia_Barrett: ACPTU L1 CAPUT +30 58
>Jim_Burlant: DEEIQUY G5 QUE.Y +22 128
#note FAIL. QUIPU 3I for 52!
>Patricia_Barrett: ARZ 1L .ZAR +45 103
>Jim_Burlant: DEINNST E3 DESIN.NT +68 196
#note E2 DENTINES is a smidge better - doesn't put the vowel at 4D. Still in good shape at 86.2% to win.
>Patricia_Barrett: AKOV 3C VO.KA +28 131
>Jim_Burlant: ?EELOTU O1 .EvOLUTE +74 270
#note ROULETTE doesn't have the vowel placement isues this play does. Never recognized it when I alphagrammed this rack. Still in excellent shape, 97.6% to win.
>Patricia_Barrett: DHO D1 HO.D +30 161
>Jim_Burlant: EEINNOT 1C T.EINE +27 297
#note I figured Quackle wouldn't like this, as it prefers ZEIN for 38. Having said that - memories of my round 3 drubbing at the hands of Orry Swift's 203-point TAPHOLES were still fresh and I wanted no such occurrences here. Right now, with this game all but clinched except for the final score, the only thing that will lose it for me is if she hits for 140 or more. I can afford to lose the equity here.
>Patricia_Barrett: AX N5 AX +52 213
#note What is she doing with this if I find ROULETTE a few turns back?
>Jim_Burlant: AAADNOT I7 A.A +8 305
#note Nothing scores. I didn't like D7 ABA (Quackle's choice), which creates easy lines.
>Patricia_Barrett: ILL D10 ILL +8 221
>Jim_Burlant: AADNOOT N8 ODONATA +72 377
#note Only bingo. 99.9% to win. What miracle can she conjure to still come back and make up her 156-point deficit?
>Patricia_Barrett: EIN M1 .EIN +38 259
>Jim_Burlant: DEIMNRT O10 REMIND +51 428
#note No bingoes play. I've finally crossed the threshold to 100% winning chances.
>Patricia_Barrett: GOY M10 GOY +22 281
>Jim_Burlant: GJMPRRT -GJMPR +0 428
#note Yuck! Only choice here is what to exchange. I should probably keep MR instead of RT, but this isn't bad.
>Patricia_Barrett: L 10C L.. +3 284
>Jim_Burlant: BFMRRST 10B F... +15 443
#note My notes were incomplete and I cannot reconstruct the game from this point. A summary of what happens: she plays for 33, I draw no vowels for the remainder of the game. Her final rack is AEEIPRS, which I cannot block due to my lack of vowels. She bingoes out with (n)APERIES J8 to save spread. Final score 471 - 402, my win.
#rack2 EGIJOPR
