>Jim_Burlant: ?BNORTW 8D BROWN +26 26
#note There are no 7's, only 8's in this rack. This is best.
>Leesa_Berahovich: JO 7F JO +25 25
>Jim_Burlant: ?AARTUY I2 AcTUARY +74 100
#note You gotta know it to play it. RUBAiYAT scores identically at D6. If you don't know that, this or AUTARkY are the other bingoes.
>Leesa_Berahovich: DEGIOPS 4B PODGIES. +76 101
#note What does she do here if I find RUBAiYAT?
>Jim_Burlant: CIMOOSU 5C MOO +23 123
#note Less may be more. MIAOU 6G scores 17, takes out the J6 hot spot, and unloads the U. This isn't awful, but it isn't great. Other options include B2 COPIOUS, 5C MOI, 2I AMICUS, and 3A SUMO.
>Leesa_Berahovich: EX J1 EX +50 151
>Jim_Burlant: ACEIMSU H1 UM +24 147
#note The 7 doesn't play, and there is no 8 available, either. This choice results from board vision failure: 3C is the hotter spot, AX front hook or not. The sim winner is 3A CUM.
>Leesa_Berahovich: ENZ F2 ZE.N +39 190
>Jim_Burlant: AACDEIS K2 IDEA +23 170
#note I didn't like putting the E at K4, but I felt I had no choice - the idea (pun unintended) was to create a lane since I haven't had any plays that could keep up with her barrage of scoring. 3 plays stand out atop the sim; they win within 0.3% and sim within 0.8 points of each other. This is one of them, the other is DA 3C, and C3 COMA. Any of those plays looks as good as the other.
>Leesa_Berahovich: AEFHLL L4 FELLAH +38 228
>Jim_Burlant: ACCNRSV 8K C.VAS +30 200
#note When I saw this rack, I started to have a sinking feeling about this game's trajectory; this is the sort of draw you get when you're about to start grinding through racks that don't come together. I played this to take out the triple and open lines. Better may have been 6B VAC, keeping the S, since Leesa may play to O8 on the next turn anyway and it'd be prudent to keep the S for FELLAHS back hooks.
>Leesa_Berahovich: DKR N7 D.RK +19 247
>Jim_Burlant: CINQRRY D8 .RINY +20 220
#note A bunch of crappy options. I saw 11L CRY and rejected it - without the S I just burned, that doesn't open anything useful up. QI for 25? I didn't see how keepng CNRRY was a recipe for anything but an exchange on my next turn. Which left this. Q prefers CRY, QI, then this. I'm fine with this. Just shy of 21% to win.
>Leesa_Berahovich: AIOT 3A IOTA +26 273
>Jim_Burlant: CEINPQR 10C Q. +11 231
#note And for the second time in barely 3 games, I miss CINQ. When will the OWL15 XQJZ words start becoming second nature? As for this - whiffing on CINQ, I considered QI A2 when I outsmarted myself, thinking that I could underlap my I on the next turn. 10C CINQ (the chippie I should have found) wins 29%. This brain fart? 15.
>Leesa_Berahovich: DEIT 11B TI.ED +23 296
#note Just desserts.
>Jim_Burlant: CEINPRU K8 .URN +17 248
#note With nowhere for UNPRICED or PUNCHIER, I didn't think UNPRICES* would fly. I whiffed on CUPRIC. If you miss that, your options all suck.
>Leesa_Berahovich: EEG 9F GEE +25 321
#note If I find CINQ a couple of turns ago, she certainly isn't scoring 25 with this.
>Jim_Burlant: CEEILLP L11 EL +6 254
#note Whiffing on LEAP 6G, so I opened a line. Nothing wins more than 8 or 9% here.
>Leesa_Berahovich: OW 2A OW +28 349
>Jim_Burlant: ACEILPS 13F SPECIAL +70 324
#note Back up to 17% winning chances with this. Slightly better may have been O2 SLIPCASE. It's a tossup in the duck's eyes as to which is better.
>Leesa_Berahovich: INV H12 V.IN +33 382
>Jim_Burlant: AABGINT M2 BAT +16 340
#note Not at all thrilled about this but I wanted to keep both the O column and row 15 alive; I was convinced she'd play from N1 or N2 and leave me row 15, which struck me as being harder to hit. The duck says I had the right idea but that I should play N1 BAIT or GAIT to take the bag to 1. I'm fine with this.
>Leesa_Berahovich: EIORTU 15C ROUTI.E +8 390
>Jim_Burlant: ?AFGINS N1 FIGS +34 374
#note And she blocks the correct line. No bingoes play.
>Leesa_Berahovich: EHT 6A THE +20 410
>Leesa_Berahovich: (?AN) +4 414
#note Congrats to Leesa on a very well played game. While I wasn't perfect through my first 7 turns, those plays were within reason, if to some slight degree, suboptimal. The QI/CURN sequence was putrid on my end, and I have to look to those turns as to why I lost this one. Between the lack of turnover there and the points coughed up (not just by me, but by not shutting down JO back hooks), that could have been the difference.
