#player1 Will Will
#player2 Bill Bill
>Will: DFKLORR 8G FORK +22 22
#note It's an understatement to say I was feeling pretty good going into the final morning, but it was time to play 3 more games of Scrabble! Unfortunately, I must have left my brain behind in the previous 28 rounds.
>Bill: CHI 7E CHI +15 15
>Will: BDLNORT H7 D.BLON +20 42
>Bill: IO J8 .OI +9 24
>Will: BEJQRTY K5 TREY +29 71
#note Not the ideal leave, but at least I'm likely to score reasonably well over the next few turns.
>Bill: ADEERST 13H SERATED +78 102
>Bill: ADEERST -- -78 24
>Will: BEFIJQZ I11 FEZ +32 103
#note There's actually some merit to playing L4 QI here and hoping he plays REDATES/DERATES with DOBLONS and giving me a huge FEZ counter. He has RESTATED through the T and CASTERED from the C, so it's tough to know what to do.
>Bill: DE L4 DE +8 32
>Will: BEGIJPQ M3 BEG +19 122
#note This should be PEG to set up N2 JIB.
>Bill: AV E5 VA. +16 48
>Will: IJPPQRX N2 PIX +39 161
>Bill: ACT O1 CAT +24 72
>Will: EJMNPQR -EMNPJRQ +0 161
#note Okay, time to change all seven and go for some esses and blanks. No real point keeping ER or anything like that.
>Bill: AGIRS 8A RAGIS +30 102
>Will: ?INTUWY B7 W.NY +18 179
#note I missed WRY, which looks like it works out well for me a lot of the time. WANY is a good block, though.
>Bill: AELS 13I .EALS +28 130
>Will: ?AEIRTU I1 qUARTIE. +71 250
#note This took me a while to find. I felt like there was something like ESTUARINE but I don't have good enough 9s command to find it.
>Bill: MV 2H V.M +14 144
>Will: AEINRUW L10 WAU. +14 264
#note It is at this point that I realize I need to pee really badly, but I foolishly decide to try and power through the game instead of get up midgame.
>Bill: INU 1I .UIN +8 152
>Will: ?AEEINR A7 A.E +10 274
#note This is a great play to re-open the G of RAGIS for -ING bingos making AWN. The only problem with it is I missed INERTIAE.
>Bill: DO M10 OD +11 163
>Will: ?AEINOR 11G O.. +6 280
#note OK, didn't hit the G. Rather than look for even a moment at the new place Bill just opened, I decide to fish an O. I see OVUM, but he has to be kinda close to bingoing and I think I would rather sacrifice points to play OOF than give him such an easy line, even though I'm the one with great bingo tiles. I played this very fast.
>Bill: EE 5D E.E +6 169
>Will: ?AEINOR N6 AlIENOR +72 352
#note Wow, what a pain, I drew an O on my fish of an O. But while I was waiting for his last play to come down (and doing my pee-pee dance increasingly frantically) I saw what I missed on my last turn!
>Bill: TU 4C UT +8 177
>Will: DHIJLNT O6 HINT +35 387
#note Saw HIND a moment after hitting my clock. It might also be better to play 8M JIN anyway.
>Bill: EO H4 OE +8 185
>Will: DJLLOPS F2 JOL. +27 414
#note Just to recap, I won the Nationals and then missed INERTIAE and ALIENOR in a game.
>Bill: AEINQST B2 QAT +27 212
>Will: DGLMPRS 3A G.M +20 434
#note Missed PROOFS despite considering whether PROOF was better than PAM on Bill's clock. Then I played GAM instead of PAM.
>Bill: EINS 14L SINE +18 230
>Bill: (DLPRS) +16 246
