#player2 Siri Siri
>Will: AAEEMPU 8G PAUA +12 12
#note I gave passing thought to EAU, but PAUA setting up a spot to play my M was the least uninspiring option.
>Siri: OW 9G OW +16 16
>Will: EEEMPST 10F EME +20 32
#note A bit risky after Siri's OW but my upside is pretty high after EME.
>Siri: CETU 11D CUTE +22 38
>Will: AEPRSST 12G SPAREST +83 115
>Siri: CIO J6 CI.O +12 50
>Will: EIIJRVV L8 JIVE. +23 138
#note Not a terribly inspiring choice, but blocks the S and the T and gives me potential JIVE/JIVY 8A if Siri can't play there.
>Siri: AIO 8L .IAO +33 83
>Will: ADEHIRV 6H AR.HIVED +69 207
>Siri: ?EGNOST 5B lONGEST +66 149
>Will: FHIINOR D8 FIN.H +34 241
#note In addition to being a good equity play, FINCH blocks the easy ACUTE hook and fouls up many of the LONGEST through tiles.
>Siri: KX F4 K.X +30 179
>Will: AILORRW H12 .ROW +27 268
#note Waffled for a while between PROW and WOLF, failing to consider 11I LOWE. I definitely exhibited a pattern of board-opening with a lead in this tournament, which might not be best practice in many situations. PROW sims a smidge ahead because I bingo about a fifth of the time afterwards, but it also gives Siri more bingo possibilities as well, and I have the lead already. KEX looks like it leaves pretty well (though sometimes also just something consonant-heavy), so maybe LOWE was the way to go since the board is so difficult to bingo on currently.
>Siri: DF K11 F.D +24 203
>Will: AILLQRT C9 QI +44 312
#note Taking a deep breath and hoping Siri didn't draw the Z, which he almost surely didn't have when he played FED.
>Siri: ADEGG B10 GAGED +32 235
>Will: ALLNRRT C3 TR.LL +12 324
#note It must be worth a 3 point sacrifice to play 14F TROLL here. My placement does sim comfortably best, but I think 14F minimizes downside better than C3.
>Siri: ?EELOST O8 .ESTReOL +74 309
>Siri: ?EELOST -- -74 235
>Will: AAEINNR A8 NAAN +19 343
#note I'd rather give him another chance to miss his valid bingos than play O1 RAINED and give him more options to find. I think A6 NAIRA is better than NAAN because I score one more point and get one more draw at the Z for something like A13 YEZ or, better yet, something huge down O1 with the Z in the money spot.
>Siri: ?EELOST 6E O. +12 247
>Will: BEIMORY O1 MORBI. +42 385
#note This should probably be BROMID just to prevent -ISM or -UM bingos coming down at 1H, but it's not a big difference, and I guess I know those words aren't coming down after the phony and just fishing the O anyway. He can hit big Z words like ZANIER or ZANDER after BROMID too after he bingos.
>Siri: ?EELNST 2A LiSENTE +72 319
>Will: DEENUYY 1G YE +20 405
#note Here I correctly pass up 1D NEEDY, realizing that I will lose to 3G BAILOUT. However, Apparently N2 YE performs a little better than my play since it doesn't make a huge Z spot and still defeats 1G BAILOUT narrowly.
>Siri: IORZ 3G ZORI +49 368
>Will: ADENTUY 4J DUTY +19 424
#note A13 DEY/DAY both leave two out spots.
>Siri: BILU 2J BI +22 390
>Will: AEN N1 ANE +16 440
>Will: (LU) +4 444
