>Joshua_Sokol: BEEHNRU H7 HUB +16 16
#note I was choosing between nothing and HUB here. UNBE is interesting to keep a scoring tile, but I'll go with this against Matt.
>Matt_Canik: ELMMPU I5 PUMMEL +35 35
#note well, I guess I should have chosen the interesting play!
>Joshua_Sokol: AAEENRR 5I .EAR +12 28
#note No idea how I missed J9 EAR for 2 more. A better play positionally as well, setting up my N and R with (EAR)N and (BEE)R. This first failure sets the tone for the rest of the game.
>Matt_Canik: GINRTWX K4 W.X +13 48
>Joshua_Sokol: ?AEENRT 11D NEAREsT +74 102
#note 8G N(UM)ERATE-s-d was a complete whiff. I usually see easy 8-to-make 9s, but since Matt was already fastplaying me, I caved under pressure. I only looked at 9s ending in UM, and took all of the rest of my time to decide which bingo was best. I figured an S was in his range a lot of the time, so I decided to block the easiest spot to play a bingo with an S and not give another easy spot back. Turns out I should have been playing hooking PEAR.
>Matt_Canik: GINNRTU M5 TURNING +67 115
>Joshua_Sokol: ?AIOORS D5 ORAtIO.S +64 166
#note I somehow saw ARIOSOS and missed that it played at G2. I was looking for total overlaps that ended in O at 9G. This mistake stung!
>Matt_Canik: ABDEFOS C1 SOFABED +91 206
#note Ouch! I mean...comfy
>Joshua_Sokol: ADIINRS 10A INR.AD +22 188
#note this rack felt helpless, and time pressure was getting to me. I missed AD(ORATIONS) at D3 and DI(N)AR or RA(N)ID at K8 look fine, no need to give more chances for Matt to sink my ship early.
>Matt_Canik: DFLNO A10 .NFOLD +42 248
>Joshua_Sokol: HILSTVW 1A WI.H +42 230
>Matt_Canik: IVY E3 IVY +34 282
>Joshua_Sokol: EGILSTV H11 .VITE +36 266
#note L1 GIVE(R) leaves better tiles on my rack, but provides further scoring for Matt. (E)VITE blocks a scoring spot and scores well enough to stay within range. My play is more sensible in a vacuum, but GIVE(R) is also a possible route to take if I have some sort of inference. Turns out this accomplished the opposite of what I intended to!
>Matt_Canik: AQT G13 QAT +47 329
>Joshua_Sokol: EGIJLSU 2E JUG +30 296
#note missing the spot at 8A this time. JUS(t)LE or just JUS(t) play there for many points. This was dangerous, since he could hit the triple if he has an A for JUGA or even just A(G), but I was attempting to score a bingo within a few turns, and this seemed like the best way to do it. I should play JUS(t)LE and approach Matt's score here and hopefully draw an A or something else I can score with.
>Matt_Canik: CEOY L1 COYE. +36 365
>Joshua_Sokol: EILOSTZ 2J ZL.TE +68 364
#note I was very close to missing this! Good thing I took enough time for this turn, despite having well under 10 minutes remaining.
>Matt_Canik: AILP H1 PAIL +33 398
>Joshua_Sokol: CDEIOST 8K CO.ED +27 391
#note I could also play 8A COS(t)ED upon reviewal. I take a small lead and leave one in the bag.

Matt didn't have the K last turn, so I think that's a decent route to take, seeing as that's the only tile that can score a lot. If he has the K 4/10 times, I might win most of the time! K(N)EE 8L and KA G14 are killers. I played this because it seemed to give me a chance of winning with both a bingo and without. Without will be tough, though. Champ prefers this but I think I should play COS(t)ED, yet I was still blind to that spot.
>Matt_Canik: AEGIN J9 EA.ING +22 420
>Joshua_Sokol: AIKOSST O8 .ATOS +7 398
#note I needed to miss that SOFABEDS spot for one more turn! Perhaps then I would have seen my only win in 15J SAKTIS... I have studied the new 5s too many times to miss that word! Damn... I blocked ERO(D)E and left myself with outs that scored well, but it's not enough.
>Matt_Canik: EEOR 1L .ERE +22 442
>Joshua_Sokol: IKS 8A KIS. +35 433
>Joshua_Sokol: (O) +2 435
#note disappointing performance on my part. I got so many gifts and I didn't cash them in.
