>steve: ADEHIKT 8D KHADI +36 36
#note Sims best, followed by KITHE and KITHED
>maureen: AITW 9C WAIT +24 24
>steve: AEGNQTZ 7F QAT +31 67
#note Wins sim, but disappoiinted not to even see second choice B6 ZETA for 41. Holding on to the Q can be volatile this early in the game.

>maureen: FRSUY 10F SURFY +36 60
>steve: EEEGNNZ 11J ENG +13 80
#note Big equity loss here, even tho it's second best. 10b ZEE just scores too much to ignore.
>maureen: ADDEORV B5 OVERADD +82 142
#note Gave consideration to challenging this phoney, but it had enough credence against my word knowledge. A couple of notes here - if I make the correct play last turn, I'm never led to this difficult fork in the road and put to a tough decision. Secondly, if I challenge, the game is pretty much in the hands of the person winning the challenge: me in this case.
>steve: AEENUYZ L11 .AUZY +44 124
>maureen: ?EIORTT 12D TRIOlET +68 210
#note TOILETRY best
>steve: EEFHINW 14J WI.EN +50 174
>maureen: GLPU C2 GULP +18 228
>steve: DEEFHLN 15K D.NEL +34 208
>maureen: AC N12 CA.. +6 234
>steve: EFHINUV 2A VU. +14 222
#note Q likes adding the H to the back end of the play here. I feel like I'm back in the game and don't want to give away a bunch of points to a word starting w S at 1D.
A play like 2nd best NEIF 13F is one I often overlook, an overlapping play of 4 letters or more.
>maureen: EE A1 E.E +18 252
>steve: EFHINST 13G FIN +24 246
#note 13b THIEF is best.
>maureen: I 10A I. +3 255
#note Maureen is obviously on a fishing expedition. Her last three plays: two tiles, two tiles, a single tile.
>steve: EGHISST D2 GHIS +39 285
>maureen: AB A7 BA +22 277
#note More fishing, but at least she's getting points this time around.
>steve: AAEOSTT A10 .OTA +8 293
#note Some fishing of my own. No real scoring plays available to me here.
>maureen: NO 13C NO +6 283
>steve: ACELSST I1 CASTLES +75 368
#note A little dangerous, knowing that Maureen has been grooming her rack and has good bingo tiles. But C in the second position is unlikely to yield a 3x3.
>maureen: ?EILNPR 1E PRIN.ELy +83 366
#note The only other bingo that hits the triple line is PENCILeR. Good find.
>steve: EIMOORX J5 OX +52 420
>maureen: BEEJMOR K3 JOB +34 400
>steve: EIMOOR L4 ROOMIE +28 448
#note Apparently, I cost myself 11 poiints in point spread this game. 10 underscoring the GHIS play, and another point underscoring DYNEL. Need to get better at double-checking my math mid game.

Overall, this was a poor tournament for me, but I'm content with the way I played in this game, and how I played overall on Day 2.
