#note Quackle strongly prefers playing short here.

#note O7 GLEG(L)Y or 15D (K)ELPY (for some reason I thought it was only KELPIE).

#note N6 JETE I guess, but I want to bingo.
>Ken_Dutch: DIR 15A DIR. +27 180
>Charles_Reinke: AEEOSTU 10G OU.A +12 165
#note I spent too long on this play, which contributed to time trouble later in the game. At some point Ken started fast-playing me, so I wouldn't be surprised if I made some major blunders in the next few turns.
>Ken_Dutch: AP 14B PA. +20 200

>Ken_Dutch: DENS 14F DENS +24 224
>Charles_Reinke: CELOSTU N2 CLOUTS +26 219
#note I don't know if it's right to blow up the rack here.
>Ken_Dutch: OX O3 OX +36 260
>Charles_Reinke: ?AEEEHZ N10 H.E +32 251
#note I think this is a major mistake. My first inclination was J3 HEEZE, and, seeing how the board developed after this, it's definitely correct. The possibility of W(HEEZE) scared me off, but I shouldn't be worried about that.
>Ken_Dutch: CIS J6 CIS +25 285

>Ken_Dutch: GY 5M G.Y +20 305
>Charles_Reinke: ?AEEGMO F6 MO. +11 286
#note This is one of those plays where, during the game, I had a lot of trouble evaluating my choices. Given the absolute lack of scoring spots on the board, I decided I needed to bingo, but there's no good way to force the board open. My thought here was to bait Ken into a play on column E, and if he doesn't do it, then I'll do it myself next turn. But I burned a lot of time making this decision.
>Ken_Dutch: IRU 10B RUI. +6 311
>Charles_Reinke: ?ABEEGI A8 GIBE +28 314
#note Now I abandon my carefully considered plan because this play actually gives me the lead.
>Ken_Dutch: MOQRU C6 QUOR.M +19 330
>Charles_Reinke: ?AAEETV 15G .A +12 326
#note The pool is DEORSTW?, so I can't open a bingo line this turn. I also want to only play one tile so that Ken has to continue to play closed. Quackle has a very strong preference for 6F (M)A, which makes sense. First, it might bait Ken into misplaying the endgame by playing a six letter word starting at H1, and, second, if he tries a one-tile block like (MA)W, I can hopefully hit the triple and he won't have enough tiles to bingo. I didn't have nearly enough time to think this through, so I just went for the points.
>Ken_Dutch: ?DEOSTW J13 DEW +20 350
#note Ken spent the rest of his time trying to figure out a win. It looks like 12K DE(NE)S would do it.
>Charles_Reinke: ?AEERTV 15J .AViER +45 371
