>Dave_Wiegand: DIPT 8G DIPT +14 14
>JD: AEEEEFW J5 WEE.E +10 10
#note forgot all about EEEW. FEE at 9H also sims better.
>Dave_Wiegand: OX K5 OX +37 51
>JD: ACEEFFO 4K COFF +36 46
#note nowhere for FOREFACE, sadly.
>Dave_Wiegand: AEITU 6G EUT..IA +14 65
>JD: AEEERUW 3L WEE +32 78
>Dave_Wiegand: IPRS O1 RIPS +44 109
>JD: AAEHORU 10H AURAE +18 96
#note URAO is a couple of points better since so many Es have already been played.
>Dave_Wiegand: IQ 9F QI +16 125
>JD: HILMNOR 11K MHO +29 125
#note the beginning of this game was absolutely painstaking. we were both playing very slowly.
>Dave_Wiegand: HOO 7L OHO +21 146
>JD: ?CDILNR 8L NIRL +27 152
#note I saw both ALDRIN and NIRL, and felt given the last 3 turns that playing ALDRIN to open would be too likely to give him 8s to bingo with. but I should probably go ahead with that given that I have the blank in hand.
>Dave_Wiegand: AEILMNT 11C ALIMENT +72 218
>JD: ?CDIRSV 5A SCRIVeD +77 229
>Dave_Wiegand: DEIJ A1 JEDI. +42 260
#note still very tight game.
>JD: EENNSTU 12H TUNE +17 246
#note tack on the S or not? I felt that if I played TUNES at this point I'd be depending on a lucky break to get ahead, whereas just playing TUNE gives me a clearcut path to victory. A better option I missed is just playing INANE/QIN at H8. Q still prefers taking the points, but I think INANE is my pick.
>Dave_Wiegand: ABDY D8 BAD.Y +28 288
>JD: ?AENOSU 2A .UpNOEAS +68 314
#note not playing INANE changed the course of the game - too bad that I couldn't find LACUNOSE here. EUPNOEAS is worse than not bingoing given the monster comebacks. NEUROSAL also fits.
>Dave_Wiegand: BGNOTZ 1G BONG +31 319
#note given his actual rack, LACUNOSE would've been followed up with him playing BORTZ for 52.
>JD: AEGGILV D4 V.G +14 328
#note low on time and couldn't figure out what to do. after the game postmorteming with a couple of experts suggestions included RIVAL at C5 (completely blocking the Z hotspot but leaving EGG) or GRAV at C4 (playing off a precious vowel to block some Z plays). Q also likes MAGG at F11 as a distraction tactic - it will be tough for him to crush me with MAGGS because he likely doesn't have a lot of vowels. I am unsure.
>Dave_Wiegand: OZ C9 ZO. +46 365
>JD: AAEGILRTY 10B R.. +6 334
#note I thought this was a pretty good try - 1/4 chance of drawing LEGALITY at O8. Unfortunately EGALITY doesn't fit on column A, but it will still take some accurate play from Dr. Bing not to block column A in the cases where the only bingo threatened is on column O.
>Dave_Wiegand: AALNSTT A7 SALTANT +79 444
>JD: AEGILRY 3F LYE +27 361
#note should block KI/KEF with ALEF.
>Dave_Wiegand: K 2N K. +32 476
#note all in all, not a terrible effort, but more accurate play might have given me the edge.
>Dave_Wiegand: (AGIR) +10 486
