>Joshua_Sokol: EEIILRR H8 IRE +6 6
#note I did not enjoy this spot. I probably should just exchange rather than give her overlaps and floaters for 6 points. my leave sucks if she overlaps and I miss. I didn't want to give her an easy hook either playing this two spots up, which is just a stylistic choice given how marginal everything is here.
>Ella_Sobel: ADH G8 HAD +19 19
>Joshua_Sokol: EILNOQR F9 LOIN +15 21
#note great :(

once again marginal choices here between exchanging and playing through. I liked the slight chance I had at a successful Q setup and the 15 points.

#note My options here were pretty abysmal. I didn't recognize CORRALS although Ella was definitely confident in its validity. I figured there was around an 85% chance CORRALS was valid.

If this is challenged unsuccessfully, there is a 40% chance or so she will give me a decent spot to play my X. Keeping a scoring-heavy rack on a pivotal challenge is always a good idea as you have ammunition to stay in the game and the element of surprise, especially after drawing 7. Experts tend to think you are most likely to have a bad rack on a challenge like this one, so they tend to just make their best play and try to defend the board. Ella grasps a few of these intricate concepts herself, but is more likely to make the wrong play after a free turn is granted to her.

So all in all 30% chance I get a better spot to play my X if I challenge. 15% chance I get to play HEX 8M to take a commanding lead. With 50-50 or so odds that I will get to shed my X for good points next turn I am happy to challenge this. If I let it go my chances are probably less than 50% to win anyway.
>Ella_Sobel: ?ADINOZ 3H ANODIZe. +86 243
#note missing A(G)ONIZeD or even M1 AgONIZ(E)D.

I keep telling her, you see a good play, look for a better one. Tunnel vision is one of the worst aspects of my game and I am seemingly unable to teach a protegee to not emulate that. She could also just play this one spot down.

"The only way to lose to me is if you out-choke me"

Quote of the Scrabble year right now.
>Joshua_Sokol: EFHIOTX H1 HO.X +66 179
>Ella_Sobel: OW 2J WO +29 272
#note Little did she know, playing these two tiles would be her downfall.
>Joshua_Sokol: EFIINOT 4D INFI. +30 209
#note sorry, I have a bad habit of foreshadowing. I have been told that false foreshadowing is the only way to get rid of that bad habit.

I need a good draw here, but with all the E's out I am worried about my chances of pulling through.
>Ella_Sobel: AN 4L NA +19 291
#note uh oh
>Joshua_Sokol: EEEINTY 12D T..EY +28 237
#note She kept a good leave, surely. I am going to need to hit two bingos here or something equally unlikely.
>Ella_Sobel: ACEMRS 15C SCREAM +42 333
#note ouch, hopefully this means she missed a binger
>Joshua_Sokol: EEIORUU -EOUU +0 237
#note ouch, OUCH, OW CHARLIE, AAAAHHHH! That really hurt!!!
>Ella_Sobel: BKS I6 B.SK +34 367
#note That really hurt, Charlie, and it's still--hurting!
>Joshua_Sokol: EEEIRTY F4 .EY +17 254
#note how am I going to blow this game? Imagine if TI(G)EREYE were a word and I just had never seen it in my short lifespan...

How is that false foreshadowing working? Still think I can win this game at 0.5% winning chances? If only I scored 98 points this turn, then I'd have a fighting chance
>Ella_Sobel: EEEUUUU -EEEUUUU +0 367
>Joshua_Sokol: BEEINRT J5 BE.T +21 275
#note now she is just toying with me. Gotta score 21 points here and hope to quadruple that next turn.
>Ella_Sobel: DEFGIST K5 EG. +24 391
>Joshua_Sokol: EEIJNPR 3A JEEP +30 305
#note That darn J forces me to get rid my E's to open up a diversion. I need like the best draw ever next turn and I need her to draw all the U's or something ridiculous like that.
>Ella_Sobel: EOOSUUW A3 .OW +14 405
#note Huh, she played WO again. It's almost as if I was actually foreshadowing earlier.
