>Jim_Burlant: AEHNSSW 8D HAWSE +30 30
#note I saw this, saw 30 points, the chance to unload the duplicated S, and that was that. A sim takes a few hundred iterations to shake out, but eventually this or WHENAS 8D percolate to the top. Both plays are indistinguishable in a sim; past 1000 iterations the sim still toggles back and forth as to which play wins more. Either is as good as the other.
>Chris_Guilbert: AIMO F4 MIAO. +12 12
>Jim_Burlant: CENORSU 5D CO.NSURE +90 120
#note Luck box - off my five-tile draw.
>Chris_Guilbert: DEOTV L1 VOTED +38 50
>Jim_Burlant: AEIINOW H1 WINO. +27 147
#note Meh. I looked for plays through the V to 1O and couldn't find them; I needed to look for 1H plays. The play I should have made, INWO(V)E, scores 36 and unloads the extra vowel. But with the luck I was having this game, it didn't matter a whole lot.
>Chris_Guilbert: AGOY D8 .OAGY +24 74
>Jim_Burlant: ?ABDEIR 11B BI.aRADE +72 219
#note Bigtime style points for this choice...but the more pedestrian 9F SIDEBAR scores 5 more scoreboard points. Still in excellent shape at just under 97% to win.
>Chris_Guilbert: DEHRRST 2C REDSH.RT +66 140
#note Only bingo for Chris, but this doesn't help him much - he's still only 8% to win.
>Jim_Burlant: AEEILQS 12A QI +25 244
>Chris_Guilbert: AAPT 1A ATAP +36 176
>Jim_Burlant: AAEELMS 3A LAME +27 271
#note Board blindness - 3C MAE keeps a more balanced AELS, but this is still reasonable. 94% to win.
>Chris_Guilbert: FLRUX K4 R.FLUX +18 194
>Jim_Burlant: AEGNOOS A3 .AGOON +24 295
#note At least I got this one right. 98% to win.
>Chris_Guilbert: FINY 8K .NIFY +36 230
>Jim_Burlant: CEIISUZ A12 .UIZ +66 361
#note Luck box!
>Chris_Guilbert: EIV 1L .IVE +30 260
>Jim_Burlant: BCEEIST H11 .EBIT +27 388
#note I'm really surprised by this sim result. When REFLUX came down I told myself to look out for REFLUXES extensions. Then, when this turn came I got so obsessed with blocking M and N column bingoes that after I thought about what would happen if I played BE 7M, I thought he'd extend from H11 n response so I thought I'd take that out. The shock to me is that this wins a sim; I'm guessing is that its defensive strength comes from its eliminating Z bingoes on row 15 (i.e., ZaRATITE with the blank).
>Chris_Guilbert: DE K4 ......ED +38 298
>Jim_Burlant: ACEIKNS 9C K.I +14 402
#note Couldn't think of KINESIC, so I felt I'd try to fish and leave both lines open. Worst case, anything he could put down would only score 80-something, and this would put me up over 100. In retrospect, KEA 7M shuold have been the play. Or maybe KI 7M.
>Chris_Guilbert: EGLORT N8 .ROGLET +26 324
#note Stunned when I saw that come down; he said afterwards he assumed I had the blank and he din't want me hitting for 80+ on row 15.
>Jim_Burlant: ACEJNSU 14J JAUN.S +29 431
>Chris_Guilbert: ?ELNPT 14A .NsTEP +26 350
