#note lots to think about here - leaving the S hook in the double lane isn't ideal with his x2, but I also have an S and he might only have one like half the time. I liked the H5 placement to restrict 7s, but the N in the double double lane isn't ideal, and the L is much better for him than the U on the star. I was pretty close to playing it at h6, but just opted for standard. If I didn't have an S I might do something different

>Jackson: JORSTTU I6 JUT +16 24
#note I felt that JOUST and NURLS wasn't great cause LAHS is pretty secure after that, and he's very likely to have an S. I wanted to keep a leave to counteract an impending bingo, and cause of the S hooks on this board. I preferred the option of us trading bingoes, even if I sometimes don't hit in the next two turns, to the option where I am down like 30 after his inevitable bingo.

#note I wasn't sure enough of the B hook to play RATTISH. ATHIRST is also nice
>Max_Panitch: ?BEEGIW C11 WEB +23 136
#note he said this was his rack, in which case BEWIGGED, BEWINGED, and BEDEWING play. also BEWIG looks better than web

#note damn, I think I thought of PRESTORES earlier, then forgot about it! still not sure if playing PONZU now is best, but it probably is. Not a bad lane to keep for later, though. Besides NUN and PONZU, it's like ADZ or ZOA which both are bad for the board. I don't like the plan nun has, cause I don't think the Z is a good tile here. probably just ponzu, I have lanes...
>Max_Panitch: GIIOOOY 4F KILIM +27 351
>Jackson: DDOOPRZ F11 DROP +21 300
#note I saw PODZOL, but I remember thinking that it blocked row 2 and it obviously doesn't. I think that's the play to reach for the S, and try to bingo on one of the lanes I have open. Maybe what I was thinking was that PODZOL opens scoring plays on the D column that block the whole upper left. At least leaving the upper left alone means that the 2 lane is slightly annoying to block, and that will leave the B and C very marginal lanes, and the PRESTORES lane. I like that there aren't that many scoring options on the board, and PODZOL interferes with that.

DROP doesn't really work that well - once again, the Z is not helpful here. I considered ADZ a lot as well, which is better if I see PRESTORES, but I hated blocking that section up. DROP is nice positionally, but I need to go for a bingo here and the Z is cramping my vibe!
>Max_Panitch: ACGOOOY F2 HI.ED +25 376
>Jackson: ADGMOVZ 9M OD +12 312
#note I was really close to playing MOVED. It's a very vowel-heavy pool, which is why I had some sort of hope with OD - maybe he gets stuck with a vowelly rack and I get bailed out with a couple vowels at the same time... the 5 row is much better for me to bail myself out with than it is for him. this felt like it wouldn't work, cause even if he has bad tiles, I am holding fucking AGMVZ, GMV after next turn... and he will be up 20 or 30. That being said I didn't like other options very much. MOVED didn't do much. I could play MAZED or something, GAZED, and try to bingo. not sure here... I think I need the S no matter what.

#note MOV(E) apparently has much better valuation than this. idk. nothing wins according to champ...
