>Jason_Li: IIIII -IIIII +0 0
>Joshua_Sokol: ADIOOWZ H4 ZOOID +50 50
#note I regretted this play. He is slightly more likely than average to have a rack that doesn't overlap as well; i.e too many one-pointers. This is because he just exchanged 5. Given this the Z at 4H is better for him than the Z at 6H because (Z)OEAL and stuff are more likely than FA(Z)ED. Normally ZOOID seems like a clearly superior play, but this may tilt the scale enough to warrant the points sacrifice. I might just be a bit too results-oriented here.

>Jason_Li: FO 6F FO. +31 79
>Joshua_Sokol: AADEOQT 7G A.DE +20 103
#note Not happy about either QAT or this, honestly. Hoping this stops something that QAT would have given. Misjudgment number 1 perhaps. They are super close in a sim though! DEA(F) to set up QAT is worth considering I guess
>Jason_Li: CEORSTV 9B VECTORS +80 159
#note Personally wouldn't throw that E out in the open, even though it's more likely to get cut off with a play along row 4 than used for a bingo, I guess. Probably COVERTS, although it worse to put the C there.
>Joshua_Sokol: ?AEEOQT 8J EQuATE +49 152
#note It wasn't positionally favorable to burn my blank for 50 here, but I was in hot water and I couldn't afford to fish with my Q here. I don't think 8H (D)OE makes a lot of sense here. It's valuable to go for turnover here because of the X hotspot and the eses that will prove incredibly important as far as controlling the board goes. I overscored this by 2 originally, but Jason caught the error immediately.
>Jason_Li: AGNOU K8 .UANGO +32 191
#note one of the many reasons I was not in a favorable position last turn. Lots of U's to come which would otherwise be useless.
>Joshua_Sokol: ABEGNOX 10E OX +52 204
#note Weird position here where it's comparable to play AX, EX, OX and AXE. Upon reviewal AXE looks better here, as I retain my O for OXO and keep a big play to underlap if Jason doesn't manage to himself. EX and AX sim better here for the same reason. I will be able to underlap quite often. In the grand scheme of things this slight mistake didn't end up costing me anything.
>Jason_Li: DNUY 11C UNDY +37 228
>Joshua_Sokol: ABEEGKN 4C BEAK +32 236
#note Wondered about KEA J10. I thought it was important to leave well here, and I think I was right to go for a bingo.
>Jason_Li: AGINSST O8 .ASTINGS +80 308
>Joshua_Sokol: DEGIINT C2 DI. +12 248
#note Really not in a good spot here. I've got to try and keep the top open while going for the S. I don't think I have any other reasonable choice. L12 ID sims just as favorably, but if I don't hit next turn, ID paints me into a nice corner.

>Jason_Li: HO J10 HO +28 362
>Joshua_Sokol: EGINPTT 15H PETTING. +86 358
#note Had to try this, I didn't love it.
>Jason_Li: ACEELR - +0 362
#note After a while, he reluctantly challenges. He liked the word, but thought he was in an unfavorable position if he left it on.
>Joshua_Sokol: EIIORTU 14F ROUTE +19 377
#note But actually I was the one in huge trouble, once again. Given his challenge, should I assume he has a bad rack, or just a rack that doesn't do well on this board? I absolutely hated this, not only because he must not have had an I last turn, otherwise I think he would play HI with all the unseen I's. I also hated this because it gives him spots to go that he wouldn't have had when he challenged. No idea how to judge this position. I'll assume it was best to exchange keeping ERT, but I don't know. I put some thought into that and some thought into I(D)IOT 2B. DIdn't think of 14I OI, which is also interesting.
>Jason_Li: ACEELR 15A RELACE +29 391
>Joshua_Sokol: AIIJPRW 13E JAW +29 406
#note It took him a long time to play relace and I was confused by that.

I took around 9 minutes here deciding what fate to sign up for. It really looked like RAJ 13E lost every endgame except when I drew the blank. Effectively it does. WIPI is so unbalanced in the endgame and I can't score enough to eke it out.

I felt like I basically had to take the 13 column spot because of RIMY E13 and some other stuff. There is no real way to win unless I draw the blank, which is what I feared... This just seemed best on spread.
>Jason_Li: ?BEIIRY 2B E.IfY +32 423
#note I immediately saw 14B BEY, his best and most simple endgame to win. Luckily Jason mistracked an R for an A, and even with 8 or so minutes he was unable to find his tracking mistake and adjust accordingly.
