>Reuvena_Ross: AEJRV 8F AVER +14 14
#note lucky she didn't have an I here. Saw she drew JV, so this play seemed intriguing to me
>Joshua_Sokol: AEIIINT -II +0 0
#note I could also keep EINT here, which makes sense upon reviewal. It's less variant than AEINT and there is an A to play through already. Anyways, I'm fine with this because of the R
>Reuvena_Ross: JOT J6 JOT +34 48
>Joshua_Sokol: ?AEINRT H1 INcREAT. +74 74
#note Can you believe that I couldn't remember if TEARINGS* was added? I didn't like it, but really didn't like running the risk of it being good and losing a turn. Otherwise I also didn't like the board after TEARING either for some reason. It's a good board to prevent bingos on in a few turns. Short sim prefers hERNIAT(E) and cREATIN(E). I don't agree but under the particular circumstances that ensued I guess I must have been wrong to choose INcREAT(E)
>Reuvena_Ross: CEHLLRS 1F CH.LLERS +64 112
#note don't give her the I. TEARING would have worked out much worse.
>Joshua_Sokol: BIOOQRT K4 BOO +19 93
#note My thought process was all over the place on this turn.

I ended up making a dumb play. No excuse. Going for TR(A)NQ but giving her wayyy too much scoring potential. K3 BROO is much better as it gives almost nothing back. 6 points down the drain or so.
>Reuvena_Ross: ABEN L3 BANE +32 144
>Joshua_Sokol: AEGIQRT M1 .TAGE +29 122
#note now I just want a U
>Reuvena_Ross: FOO F1 .OOF +11 155
>Joshua_Sokol: GIPQRST 5D QIS +34 156
#note so many U's out but...
>Reuvena_Ross: INTW 6B TWIN +22 177
>Joshua_Sokol: ADGIPRT G6 PA.ID +20 176
#note I missed E3 PI(IN)G.
>Reuvena_Ross: ?ADDEIL B4 DE.AILeD +59 236
#note worst bingo out of the 6 available, lucky for me
>Joshua_Sokol: ACGHRTT A7 THAT +41 217
#note also R(I)CH was a consideration
>Reuvena_Ross: IMNU A1 MUNI +25 261
>Joshua_Sokol: CEEGKOR C10 GECKO +30 247
#note almost played ERG/(BAG)G
>Reuvena_Ross: DFILMOS 15A MISFOLD +114 375
>Reuvena_Ross: DFILMOS -- -114 261
#note She put MISFOLD* down, and I was happy, because I didn't think it was a word. She took it back, seemingly murmuring about GECKO-S vs. GECKO-ES. She then put down MISO in the same spot, which told me she was doubting the 7, which was not as good for me as doubting GECKOS. Then she took that back murmuring "that's the same problem". I wondered if she was trying to coffeehouse me, but knew it was fine because she was probably uncertain either way. Then after a few minutes put this back, which I snap-challenged.
>Joshua_Sokol: EEENNRU N2 EN +13 260
#note As it stood I was still in deep trouble. Do I play F10 ENURE and hope she tries MISFOLD and ENURES? I knew the hooks to ENURE, but that seemed really risky. I chickened out of (C)UNNER here.

Finally saw that her best play after this was O2 OLD, which didn't leave well, and still left her with the problem of GECKO-S. I knew I needed to draw the S here. Anyways, my line seemed OK given all the considerations and circumstances of her last play, but things looked grim regardless of whether she tried GECKOS later or not. I think I should have played ENURE, but that runs the risk of her playing anything valid with ENURES or ENURED. But it could cause a lot of confusion.
>Reuvena_Ross: DFILMOS O1 OLD +22 283
#note oh, we both missed (BAN)I. Nice. My plan is working so far, now what?
>Joshua_Sokol: EEGINRU 12C .UE +10 270
#note Between this and (C)UEING, I decided to go for a bingo and keep things a bit more confusing as to what Reuvena thinks she should do.
>Reuvena_Ross: FM E11 F.M +16 299
>Joshua_Sokol: EGINRWZ F12 REZ +42 312
#note Felt like I needed to try this. Actually, I thought CUER* was good for the nth time.

Do you see where this is going? I am controlling the game from behind. Take notes. heh
>Reuvena_Ross: ISY 6J ...Y +24 323
#note This play scared me though! Reuvena once dropped a Y just like this to play (JARGON)Y and another word for like 30, and I challenged. I held this, remembering that scenario well, and figuring I needed a few seconds to remain collected in the wake of this karmic revelation of the past! Then I figured this made sense and let it go. Whew.
>Joshua_Sokol: GINOUWY 4K ...GY +32 344
#note Quackle prefers me playing stuff that counters her GECKOS plays, so I can safely assume those plays are wrong. The only one I considered was B14 WO because my leave was more palatable than that of (BAG)GY, but for reasons I can only describe as psychological and experiential (BAG)GY is probably the best play here. Still not looking good for me, despite my small lead and her still not reattempting GECKOS. Underscored this play by 1.
>Reuvena_Ross: AIRS C1 RAIS +12 335
#note ok, that was good for me!
>Joshua_Sokol: EINOUVW 10G .UI +4 348
#note but now what?? She for sure has the S. Most likely leave seems to be ARS or IRS. Many things scare me in this pool. AUSPEX for one plays at H10 and insta-wins. I doubt she sees it or even knows it, but it's a worry. Reuvena knows some words. Next fear, she tries GECKOS again figuring she can't win otherwise. XIS there puts me in a coffin unless I can somehow get 50 points in two turns. So once again I considered WO at B14, which does a decent job at blocking easy GECKO-S endgames. That looked fine, she would need to play a near-perfect endgame to win it seemed, and with limited time. But I was also running low and I didn't know if I had time to choose my next play well enough. EINUV looked really bad. I don't have any way to score more than 10 and get rid of the V. so with that in mind I felt that if she found an out-in-two that didn't give me a good spot, I would lose. But that's tough, once again. Instead I figured that I would let my time run low enough that Reuvena felt confident, and play (D)UI for 4. I would hope that before she realized I got rid of both of the front hooks for the X, she would make a play other than G13 SAX and lose. I couldn't expect this scenario to work against most players, but with Reuvena's unique exploitative playstyle she would be confident enough to make the wrong play, especially since I am emptying the bag, leaving myself with 6 undesirable letters and scoring 4 points.
>Reuvena_Ross: AIPRSUX 14B P.X +24 359
#note Unfortunately I didn't block AUSPEX, which was much of the reason for playing DUI, but not to worry. Reuvena said "you know there's only one in the bag!" which to me was just as good as winning the game then and there. P(O)X came down almost immediately. Just about all of her winning plays block me, except N6 SIRUP and B14 PI. These games always leave me wondering if I really snatched victory out of the jaws of defeat, or if I was merely very, very lucky.
