>Eric_Tran: ACDRSUW 8G WUD +14 14
#note perhaps the most ludic game of the tournament. Also embarrassing, but that's the underlying feeling I get from all of these games.
>Joshua_Sokol: AAENTUV 9I AVAUNT +15 15
#note Tough start. Do I play long or short here? And if I play short, do I play 7D UVEA or do I play 7F VANE or VENA for 7 more?

Actually, I was so off here. I thought that ATU as a leave was worth -8, and that E as a leave was worth 1, but for some reason I put absolutely no value in the superior defense that VANE brought. Huge mistake to start things off.
>Eric_Tran: ABCLRSW K8 B.WL +18 32
#note missing ASPR(A)WL!

>Eric_Tran: AACERSX 7G AX +25 57
>Joshua_Sokol: EEGINYZ N2 ZINGY +67 152
#note how can I lose this one?
>Eric_Tran: ACEPRRS F1 SCARPER +79 136
#note The hilarity begins. I was pretty sure this was good, but held anyway and wondered aloud if Eric had transposed tiles. This was all the more hilarious because of what I was about to play next. I knew there were a few words in here other than SCRAPER. CARPERS SCARPER SCRAPER CRAPERS*
>Joshua_Sokol: DEEJRRT 6B JERE.D +37 189
#note Not entirely sure this was my rack, but whatever it was, this was a really huge mistake. It was so funny that he played SCARPER to me because it gave me a spot to play a second word in a row following the same theme of possible transpositions. I love word pairs like SCARPER/SCRAPER, JEREED/JEERED, STRONGLY/STRONGYL, FLUTY/FLUYT, etc.!

I don't think Eric held this, but he did say "did you transpose tiles?" as well, which made the situation funnier. I love Eric. But this play was horrible!
>Eric_Tran: AADIIPR 14J PARDI +39 175
#note I held AGAIN.

I did not remember BLONDINED, although it made perfect sense in the culinary world. To JULIENNE, to BLONDINE, right? WRONG! BLONDINE means to bleach or dye one's hair blonde! Anyways, I let this go, but repeated "did you transpose tiles?!" referring to yet another pair, PARDI PADRI. We were laughing out loud here, and I said "this might not be funny after one more turn!", referring to the closeness of the game and the possibility of everything screwing up for me!

But I was happy I knew the weird hook to PARDI!

>Joshua_Sokol: CEGHNRT O12 CHET +45 234
>Joshua_Sokol: CEGHNRT -- -45 189
#note Or did I????? He held and challenged this, which I thought was a good thing! He's rusty, perhaps he forgot the 4 and was unsure of the PARDI hook. But you never know what your mind can trick you into thinking is a valid word. CHETH HETH HET TECH CHET*!!! After this I couldn't tust myself for anything, and the game was in Eric's hands. Ouch. Was it PARDIE* or was it CHET*?
>Eric_Tran: ADEEINO 1C DON.IE +24 199
#note Continuing down the very exploitative route Eric had been attempting to take, and finally seeing a success, Eric sacrificed some equity to play this odd 6, which again I held.

Come to think of it, Eric had held JEREED, and said he was going to hold every single play I made from thereon out.
>Joshua_Sokol: CEGHNRT 3L GH. +14 203
#note this was not a great play, despite the leave being very strong. Only thing that does better on the sim is C3 GRE(E)NTH, and then THEN O12 in the same spot making PARDIE is also decent.
>Eric_Tran: AEEGIIQ 4K QI +28 227
>Joshua_Sokol: CENORRT 15H CRONE +33 236
#note O10 CORNET. I just gave up on PARDIE.
>Eric_Tran: AEEGIOY O11 YOGEE +39 266
>Joshua_Sokol: AELMRTT 9A MARTLET +70 306
#note took a lot of courage to play this. Was unsure of everything
>Eric_Tran: ?AEIIMU C8 U.InEMIA +68 334
#note only bingo. A8 I(M)AUM might be better though
>Joshua_Sokol: ILOOSTU 8A UL. +23 329
#note just turned off completely here though. So bad. Was worried about too many things, but too worried about him scoring through the M. AARRGHH!
>Eric_Tran: EFIKNTV 5J KIF +49 383
#note boom
>Joshua_Sokol: IOOOSST B13 OOT +16 345
#note at least I got this one right. I have to score enough to outrun VASE O1
>Eric_Tran: EFHSTV 12B H.FT +27 410
#note not sure of his last tile.
