#player2 Scott Scott
>Will: ?CEGORT 8F ERGOTiC +74 74
>Scott: EIKNNOY L8 .ONEY +20 20
#note S: CONKY in the same spot is best - just didn't think of it. KYTE also worth considering. I don't like parallel plays so much here, though Quack likes several of such better than CONEY. I was hoping to draw into an -ING bingo, and wanted things open.
>Will: GIIOPTU K10 UPO +25 99
>Scott: EIKNNOT H1 TOKENIN. +92 112
#note S: ING bingo granted!
>Will: DEGIIIT 5D TIEI.G +14 113
#note W: This should've been DIEING, of course.
>Scott: ACFHORT J10 FOH +45 157
>Will: ADDIISZ 3C ZADDI. +44 157
>Scott: ACDERRT F7 R.TRACED +67 224
#note S: RETRACED and TERRACED a tad better than RECRATED.
>Will: BHIISSV M12 SHIV +30 187
#note W: 13L SHIV is ever so slightly better - one extra point, and every now and then I'll bingo with I in seventh position, which I can't do after M12 SHIV.
>Scott: DEEISUU 15J SIE.ED +33 257
#note S: SIEVED simmed best, though obviously there are things not to like about it.
>Will: BBIJRSV 11B JIBB. +32 219
#note W: I liked the inclusion of the R in the leave for potential OVER- plays. Maybe the wild card DJIBBA hook would be useful, though the Ds are all played and it would have to be a blank D. Despite JIBBA bingoing a lot more often than JIBBER, Quackle evaluates them nearly equally - that's surprising, since bingoing seems so important in this situation.
>Scott: AALLNUU 4A ULAN +27 284
>Will: AEPRSSV C7 PARV.SES +84 303
>Scott: AELMORU 1C EMULA.OR +63 347
>Will: ILNQUWX 8A QU.I +42 345
>Scott: AEFIMRY 14K AF.RE +30 377
#note S: Tough decision here. AFIRE was decent, winning about 3/4 of the time. Quackle likes FEY G13 best - I'm not loving that, but perhaps I'm missing something? I'd hate to give back the quick 37 to WE. Also good are RIF and RIFE through that I that I had played through. W: 14L AIM is intriguing - it drops my bingo percentage to nearly zero, gives you scoring possibilities from A1 like FLEURY, FIGURE, and FIXURE that don't yield anything huge in return, as well as JEFE B11, and retains some scoring pop to counter if I play down from the J myself.
>Will: AELNTWX B13 WAX +35 380
#note W: One of the weirder plays I've made - I'm not sure I trust the sim to play the way Scott will here. AFIRE certainly doesn't look like a play Scott would make with a blank in hand, so there's a decent chance it's still lurking - with 7 in the bag, I'm playing WAX to induce Scott to empty the bag with a 4-tile play down the A column, and hit a 9 to -ED down column O to catch him with a full rack. Quackle prefers OXEN, both regular sim and CP. Given that OXEN literally never bingos, it must believe I have a pathway to outscoring Scott - but the problem with that is that Scott isn't going to play at B13 anywhere near as often as the sim expects him to, and a huge component of OXEN's value is playing TWA at A13 after plays like YOM and YOW there. As insane as WAX looks, I stand by it - this looks like a situation where I need to bingo, and even though I get walloped after WAX and lose by more when I lose, it's the only play that seems like it can actually win to me.
>Scott: EIMNOWY A12 YOWE +81 458
#note S: A kick-myself moment. This position is really complex, but I did not treat it as such. I had ten minutes left, but fired down YOWE within ten seconds. Rookie move. YOWE had about a 55% chance of winning - Will would obviously need to then out-bingo back on column O to win - but other plays had between 58 and 62 percent chance. Quackle considers EMO the star move: given the pool and then kind of bingos Will would have, the WINY leave would help me score enough in response to win some tight games after his bingo. Also good: WO A14 and OWE A13. Funnily enough, if I do EMO, given the remaining tiles (I drew AALT after YOWE), I'm 50% likely to hit TAWNILY for my own bingo after Will bingos himself.
