>Evans_Clinchy: AAIOTUY 9G YAUTIA +34 34
#note I hate making plays like this, giving my opponent a super obvious spot to score a ton, but I'm not sure if I have any choice here. YAUTIA 7H is 12 points less, and Rasheed might score a ton after that one too. What else is there?
>Rasheed_Balogun: AEINPRS M3 PANIERS +83 101
>Evans_Clinchy: CEGLOOR L4 LOGO +21 55
#note Oh right, COLOG is a word.
>Rasheed_Balogun: AGMR K2 GRAM +27 128
>Evans_Clinchy: ACERTUV 8M .AV +18 73
#note VAGI, using the same tiles for 6 points more than this, is the clear equity play, but I couldn't bring myself to do that. I'm down by a bingo and things are so closed! Prying open something - anything, even if it's just a V floating for eights - seemed worth the sacrifice here. Maybe that's crazy. I don't know.
>Rasheed_Balogun: Q K8 Q. +11 139
>Evans_Clinchy: CEJNRTU 2I JU. +13 86
#note This... sims best? I dunno. Couldn't think of anything better to do. Maybe this leads to a prying-open of the board eventually.
>Rasheed_Balogun: ?DEEIIT O2 IDEaTI.E +62 201
>Evans_Clinchy: ACENRST K8 ..N +12 98
#note One of my favorite plays of the tournament. Down by 115, I need to take a chance on something super volatile, and the time feels right to try this.
>Rasheed_Balogun: EIIIOOU L9 .UE +5 206
#note Wow. I'm incredibly lucky that he drew garbage after bingoing. If you infer a leave of CASTER for me, the sim likes Rasheed's play best! It's incredibly ugly, but on this board, against what he knows is a monster leave, closing that spot is essential. Nice play!
>Evans_Clinchy: ABCERST I2 .AB +13 111
#note This is one of those situations where I'm not sure if Quackle can evaluate Rasheed's ability to keep the board closed. The siim suggests scoring more points - BAT N2 is nifty, and it's 29. But I'm still down by 79 after that. Am I really going to bingo and get back in the game? I think it's pretty necessary to open up another spot to bingo - and one that scores pretty big, too.
>Rasheed_Balogun: BIIIOOO H4 OBI +11 217
>Evans_Clinchy: CELORST 11H CORS.LET +96 207
#note Wow that's lucky.
>Rasheed_Balogun: EIIKOOU N1 UKE +32 249
>Evans_Clinchy: CDDEEPS N10 C.DED +30 237
>Rasheed_Balogun: AIIOOT H11 .OATI +24 273

>Rasheed_Balogun: FHOO 12A HOOF +44 317
>Evans_Clinchy: LLNOTVZ 13K NOV.L +16 335
#note Sim likes this just fine. LOZEN and ZOLS are options here, but I'm not in any rush to cash the Z for points. LTZ is a solid leave here, and NOVEL opens a new Z spot that might come in handy.
>Rasheed_Balogun: HI 14F HI. +31 348

>Rasheed_Balogun: EW O13 .EW +21 369
>Evans_Clinchy: AAIRTWX 14J WAX +32 406
#note I lose if one of the two E's is in the bag - he's got INDRENCH in line A and NIDERING in line 15. This wins the other 6/8 endgames, though. I'll take that.
