#note before the tournament I wrote out the 4s by memory, and MOSY* was one of the phonies I typed - I knew I saw it somewhere, and that's where...

after the game, matt graham gave me a lecture about the difference between "I am 100% sure this is a word" and "this is a word". MOUSY, if it's worse at all, is only slightly worse. really it's probably better than mosy anyways, cause I want good tiles in case he does bingo on row 14, and not be stuck in an exchange position. I turn an incredibly commanding position into a decent one.

>Jackson: IMNOSUY 11A MOUSY +42 324
>Joe_Edley: ?EGIRRS 14G SuRGIER +68 295
#note the valid anagram, GuRRIES, is the only bingo.
>Jackson: ACGINOO A11 .AGIC +33 357
#note definitely shaken after mosy, and I start doubting myself on everything. I would normally confidently play GNOMIC here, or MONGO, but instead feel the need to play something I am totally sure of.
>Joe_Edley: BHO 13L HOB +25 320
>Jackson: EENOOOT O12 TONE +24 381
#note Q says NOTE is 8% better than TONE, lol.

the bag is very E heavy, so I don't want to keep too many E's... the big worry is bingoes of course, but if I block through the R, I can easily be outscored with a 15 row play. if I can draw a decent scoring tile or a close to balanced rack, I think I can outrun bingoes. whereas something that scores a bit less relies a bit more on drawing decently... and I don't think EENO offers too much extra to the rack over EOO. insight is appreciated!

>Jackson: AEO M13 ..A +3 403
#note this game is a great example of how to blow a lead. not only do you have to play defensively stylistically when up, you have to take fewer risks in terms of word knowledge. it's hard to find out where the line between "conservative" and "fearful" is.
