#player1 Ella_Sobel Ella Sobel
#player2 Joshua_Sokol Joshua Sokol
>Ella_Sobel: III -III +0 0
>Joshua_Sokol: CEEGOOO H4 COOEE +20 20
#note It was tempting to counter-exchange here with the inference of a strong rack leave, but this still seemed slightly better.
>Ella_Sobel: FORT 4H .ROFT +20 20
>Joshua_Sokol: AAGMNOR 5J MA +22 42
#note L1 MAR(T)AGON. Not familiar with that word. Damn. Looked like there was something too. K4 (F)ROGMAN looks good too.
>Ella_Sobel: DO G7 DO +12 32
>Joshua_Sokol: ADGNNOR K4 ..NDANGO +26 68
#note And as I joked about my rack spelling out DRAGON(DE)N* through the DE, I missed my actual 9 through that! What!!! Thunderbolt and lightning very very frightening :D
>Ella_Sobel: BDEGS 8J B.DGES +36 68
>Joshua_Sokol: GHIIPRR N3 GRIPI.R +16 84
#note Damn it!!!!! M8 (G)RIGRI plays! I wish I could have focused all of my attention on this game, cause little did I know I would need it!
>Ella_Sobel: IX L11 XI +27 95
>Joshua_Sokol: AEFHINO J11 FOEHN +32 116
#note Turn one of everyone missing (CROFT)E(R). I knew F6 FOH was saner, but I wanted to have an easy game. This was NOT the way to do that!
>Ella_Sobel: ??ACLNS 15H CA.NoLiS +122 217
#note Boom goes the dynamite. Only other 3x3 besides this and CANNULAS is NO(N)CLASS, which opens a bingo lane and only scores 9 more.
>Joshua_Sokol: AAILTWY 14L WALI +24 140
#note Alright, now to score and leave everything open. Didn't want to mess with the area that DO opened.
>Ella_Sobel: DE 11J ...ED +16 233
>Joshua_Sokol: AQRTTTY 9E QAT +18 158
#note there goes that. Should have just played AWY somewhere last turn.
>Ella_Sobel: AAEEILY 10F AE +13 246
>Joshua_Sokol: ABERTTY 13C TERABYT. +84 242
#note Nowhere to put my fantastic draw, or so I thought, until I made my move in the other game and looked back through the E. Held and released. I have a fighting chance now!
>Ella_Sobel: KZ D12 Z.K +32 278
#note or do I
>Joshua_Sokol: EIJRTUV F13 .JI +26 268
#note She probably has an S, I'm pretty screwed right now. To add to the problem, I overdrew here, and LIU were picked. She gave me IU back.
>Ella_Sobel: AIMS 15A AIMS +39 317
>Joshua_Sokol: ELRTUUV A11 UVUL. +12 280
>Ella_Sobel: EIT O2 TIE +10 327
#note almost played LIE, but saw the remaining P and switched it up
>Joshua_Sokol: EINOPRU L3 U. +2 282
#note Figured I had to fish here to have a fighting chance. Not really sure playing F5 UPO is a good idea with her seemingly having a lot of the bingo tiles leftover. If she blocks this lane, this still hits with EIST. I can also fish multiple times if I need to.
>Ella_Sobel: EEHLRSY 2L HE +11 338
#note A good play, to counter my setup and set her S up. 2J YEH looks a bit riskier but is by all means correct here. Otherwise H4 (COOEE)S is a very unconventional play that works well to counter a bingo.
>Joshua_Sokol: EIINOPR F1 RIPIENO +67 349
#note phew, I hit. Now I probably have to cash my bingo in, despite my chances being really really low knowing she must have ES. But what can I really do? Only other viable option is 1L POI, and that doesn't seem to win as often. I think I'm probably winning 1 in 4 games here, since Ella will often choke in a close endgame.
>Ella_Sobel: EELNRSY 1H LYRES +35 373
#note Ella correctly assessed after the game that 1D LY(R)ES was better, considering my last play. This is stll a winner.
>Joshua_Sokol: AOTUVW 1A OUTWA. +39 388
>Ella_Sobel: EN - +0 373
#note With only a couple of minutes to spare, she holds OUTWAR. I'm just desperately hoping she will challenge for some reason. Ella doesn't see anything that wins her the game, because she has mistracked me with a one-point tile. So with seconds on her clock, she finally decides the only way for her to surely win is to challenge.
>Joshua_Sokol: V O13 V.. +6 394
#note Playing out for 8, 9, 10, 11 or 12 would have resulted in a win for Ella, but she thought she needed 14.
>Joshua_Sokol: (EN) +4 398
#note A bloody awful performance on my end, necessitating my opponent to have a series of unfortunately occurences cost her the victory. I was outplayed pretty badly.
