#player1 Joshua_Sokol Joshua Sokol
#player2 Ella_Sobel Ella Sobel
>Joshua_Sokol: AAINRTY H7 YA +10 10
#note I fear this game will be played worse than the one against Norma I was playing at the same time. I should have just played long here, less to think about if I miss my bingo.
>Ella_Sobel: GOX I6 GOX +27 27
>Joshua_Sokol: ADINNRT J5 DIN +17 27
>Ella_Sobel: EHNT K3 THEN +24 51
>Joshua_Sokol: AEENRTZ 4K .AZER +36 63
#note I really said "this is going to be the worst mistake I've ever made in my life!" before playing this. I guess foreshadowing is a forte of mine. And also, apparently, missing a particular 5-letter word containing a Z. I would have played J2 ZA if I had seen it
>Ella_Sobel: ADEEOPT O1 OPE.ATED +149 200
#note ack!
>Joshua_Sokol: AAEGKNT N7 TANKAGE +77 140
#note it's ok guys, I got this
>Ella_Sobel: FI M2 FI. +30 230
>Joshua_Sokol: ELNPSUY 14J YULES +58 198
#note scrabble is easy
>Ella_Sobel: ?AEILRV 15D VaLERIA +94 324
>Ella_Sobel: ?AEILRV -- -94 230
#note wow, I am so friggin lucky
>Joshua_Sokol: DENOPSW 15I WOP +17 215
#note This is an instance where I'm trying to maximize the chances of my opponent making a mistake. But this runs the risk of backfiring badly if either she sees something down column G or if she plays something making s(WOP). The latter is OK with me, will probably make the game even most of the time. But I really didn't want her to play VELARIA
>Ella_Sobel: ?AEILRV 11H VALERI.n +70 300
#note 12G RAVELIn(G) is there too. Ella wondered if she should have played down column H instead of this, but a sim claims the bingo is better, even with an S inference, which is weird in my opinion. Meh. Her play is fine.
>Joshua_Sokol: DEMNSSU H11 .ENDS +57 272
#note Wondered if MSU was 3 points worse than DMS. Seemed with the Q out and the vowel-consonant synergy it was worth the 3 points. Sim says it's close! Verry close!
>Ella_Sobel: FW M13 F.W +28 328
>Joshua_Sokol: EMOSTTU N1 MO +28 300
#note Got any better ideas?
>Ella_Sobel: LOR G8 LOR +14 342
>Joshua_Sokol: EERSTTU J1 UTE +7 307
#note I actually was unfamiliar with TRUSTEE/TRUSTEED! I think I knew TRUSTEE, but maybe not even. It's a common enough word that I could probably figure it out. But TRUSTEED. Wow.
>Ella_Sobel: GMR 1H GR.M +21 363
>Joshua_Sokol: AEIRSTU M7 UTA +16 323
#note oy vey. Should I fish more proactively here?
>Ella_Sobel: CIQ 13F CI.Q +26 389
#note yeah, seemed like she was very intent on playing something. Should have known she was going to block. Nice play.
>Joshua_Sokol: BDEIORS I1 .IB +18 341
#note this will be tough for her to deal with at least. Good draw again for the Josh.
>Ella_Sobel: HI F13 .HI +16 405
>Joshua_Sokol: DEIORST 4C TRIODES +74 415
#note why do I see TRIODES before EDITORS? heh
>Ella_Sobel: EJOS 5B JOES +30 435
>Joshua_Sokol: ?ACIIOU D3 I.. +3 418
#note Here's when I realized I had one minute on my clock. Made a stupid play. O10 A(n)I looks like the best chance I've got.
>Ella_Sobel: ABLNNRV 2D LAV +18 453
#note This and F2 BR(O) are her only wins. Will she be able to hold strong in the endgame?
>Joshua_Sokol: ?ACEIOU 6B OE +18 436
#note Then I realized that my time had run out. Overtime but I still find the best play.
>Ella_Sobel: BNNR 9F N.R +9 462
#note And Ella misses BRR at L10 or L9 for the win!!!! K9 BR(E)N also wins. This is with or without me having gone over.
>Joshua_Sokol: ?ACIU 14A qUAIC. +20 456
#note I felt like I stole this game. I went 50 seconds over, but overtime does not count for me if I'm playing two games. This was a spectacular one though!
>Joshua_Sokol: (BN) +8 464
#note Final recorded as 464-461. CHI was underscored by one. No recount was requested.
