>Jason_Li: EOYZ 8F OYEZ +32 32
>Joshua_Sokol: ABEEOSY I5 OYE. +17 17
#note fancy play syndrome. 7F YOB is fine.
>Jason_Li: INV 6F VIN. +18 50
>Joshua_Sokol: AAABEIS 9B ABASIA +20 37
>Jason_Li: EILLORU D8 V.NITA +26 76
>Jason_Li: EILLORU -- -26 50
>Joshua_Sokol: AEJLOTT B6 JOT. +27 64
>Jason_Li: AINTV 7B .VA +10 60
>Joshua_Sokol: ?AEELQT G5 Q. +11 75
>Jason_Li: AILNSST A7 NA +19 79
#note Jason probably didn't want to give me much information about his rack here. 6F (VINY)L is too strong of a play though. Perhaps he missed it.
>Joshua_Sokol: ?AEEHLT 10G HALTErE +70 145
#note HEELTAp. Shoot. Here's the beginning of sour things.
>Jason_Li: ILSSTX 10B SIX +39 118
>Joshua_Sokol: DFMOOUU L8 FO.UM +26 171
#note I completely forgot about HALTERED for a turn, even though upon seeing HALTErE last turn I knew immediately that it was volatile. I didn't know exactly why, but I could have taken a moment to figure it out. But there is a better play with the same tiles as DUOMO uses!!! I forgot about that word as well. Nothing blocks all of his bingos.
>Jason_Li: CEEILST M2 SECTILE +75 193
>Joshua_Sokol: ?ADDOOU H10 .OUDAD +27 198
#note Amazingly N8 DODO sims slightly better than this play. That's really ballsy, but might have worked.
>Jason_Li: DILLORS N10 DRILL +35 228
#note First playing DROLL, then switching it to DRILL. Actual rack. Wonder what he would have done post-DODO
>Joshua_Sokol: ?IORTTW 2F TWIsTOR. +64 262
#note Forgoing the bingo might be better here. Actually, it's almost definitely better. WRI(S)T is the play. And OuTWRIT(E) scores the same as this, didn't realize. That's also better.
>Jason_Li: FNO N6 FON +35 263
>Joshua_Sokol: EEGIIMN 1H MIEN +35 297
#note Seemed close between GIEN and MIEN. Decided to go for the 6 extra points, which seemed like enough.
>Jason_Li: EHPS D6 H.P..ES +44 307
#note this play was a big surprise. Underscored by 2.
>Joshua_Sokol: AEEEGIO 3D OGEE +14 311
#note What just happened? Now I'm in big trouble... K1 (NO)OGIE was the play here.
>Jason_Li: BGIR 4C BRIG +25 332
>Joshua_Sokol: AEEGIUW I13 AWE +19 330
#note My plan was working out OK. I knew I had tempo with how much was left in the bag. It would have been very unlikely for Jason to play 1 or 6 tiles last turn. Here, I might have preferred to play off 4 tiles, but really, if Jason has the D to play with (FEN)D, I'm not winning most of the time anyways. So I had to score here, not give back a possible disaster scoring play, which playing at 2B with WIG or WAG might have done. This seemed like my best bet, but I really need to hope for some good stuff, or hope that Jason only has the U or something worse. I can play (Q)U(O)IN or (Q)U(O)IT with the right draw as well. He was low on time, so perhaps I would eke out the endgame.
>Jason_Li: ACNT K10 .NACT +22 354
>Joshua_Sokol: EGIKRUU 4K GU.K +22 352
#note Saw I seemingly had no wins, and hoped he would somehow miss or talk himself out of (FEN)D and miss my out.
>Jason_Li: DNPRR 8L ...D +24 378
#note -6 to 15H (DE)P apparently, not going to do the math myself.
>Joshua_Sokol: EIRU 15D UREI.. +8 360
>Joshua_Sokol: (NPRR) +12 372
#note We never found the discrepancy with HAPAXES because I didn't ask for a recount. This game was absolutely tilting, from the moment I drew my tiles after MIEN and he played HAPAXES. But what set me off is that he played VANITA* and lost his turn, and still somehow came back. I just need to see my plays and possibly not have severe hay fever next time I play Jason. Spoilers: I had to play him again
