>Ross_Brown: BIZ H7 BIZ +28 28
>Joshua_Sokol: ACOOSUY 7H .AYOU +11 11
#note I dunno why I talked myself out of 9F CO(Z)Y. Felt paranoid and also decided to blow the board open against Ross. Bad
>Ross_Brown: ABY 6I ABY +34 62
>Joshua_Sokol: CGIOOSU 9F OU.O +15 26
#note What I deserve for such a careless play
>Ross_Brown: OTTU 8L TOUT +18 80
>Joshua_Sokol: ACGIRRS M8 .RGIAC +20 46
#note He almost gave me the N I was looking for! I would normally play 8A CIGARS but I liked how this shaped the board, giving me a nice S-hook on ORGIAC that was unblockable, separating the right side even further, so that the T was accessible for the rest of the game. But I think I shouldn't have given up 12 points, and CIGARS also shapes the board nicely. I thought the S was more useful than it actually was. I also considered F9 ORGIAC for 3 fewer, but in that case, him having the S would just give him a free scoring spot to use that didn't really open much for me in return, so although it works better than Ross doesn't have an S, I didn't like it. I failed to consider just 10B CIGAR with the same tiles. That is good to prevent some scoring.
>Ross_Brown: FGI 10D GIF +28 108
#note such as
>Joshua_Sokol: ADKORSV 12I VODK. +26 72
#note Sick that he blocked VODKAS for 59
>Ross_Brown: ?AINPRW D3 WRAPpIN. +78 186
#note blech! O1 WARPAIN(T) would have hurt even more, at least...
>Joshua_Sokol: AAELRSS J5 A..ES +24 96
#note lots of E's left, so I decided I could afford to get rid of mine for a few more points. 11C AS was an option I didn't consider. That's a good play.
>Ross_Brown: ADOT C2 TOAD +25 211
>Joshua_Sokol: AHLQRST B1 QAT +34 130
>Ross_Brown: HIL 8A HIL. +21 232
>Joshua_Sokol: EHLRRSW B6 WH.RLERS +74 204
#note A lucky sequence gets me back into the game.
>Ross_Brown: AEEILNR O8 .REENAIL +77 309
#note or not
>Joshua_Sokol: DEELNOS E1 NOSED +32 236
>Ross_Brown: CGIINOT 1E .ICOTIN +27 336
#note At this point, I expected for sure that the E would come down at the end of this word. It didn't, and I breathed a sigh of relief. But oh no! Ross said he kept a G here, which means he missed NOTICING in the same spot! That's a Josh-league blunder right there...
>Joshua_Sokol: EEEFLMN 2J FEEL +30 266
#note No idea here, just slowplaying and scoring. Perhaps 12A F(R)EEMEN here. I missed that possibility.
>Ross_Brown: EEMNS N2 SEMEN +34 370
#note finally, some E's are getting played
>Joshua_Sokol: ?DEEMNV A13 EVE +20 286
#note 4N (M)M as a pure fish was suggested, but if Ross doesn't block the last bingo spot (lane 14 or 15), he will most definitely score enough to outrun me. This looked like the only plausible attempt to win. If my 3-tile draw is AEI, I will have ENDEMIAL in two spots, which is a sure win over Ross' best play of O3 TUX. EVE could also theoretically win with other draws (of which I wasn't aware at the time, but I assumed existed). MANDRILL, UNIMODAL perhaps won't get blocked? Anyways, it didn't work, obviously.
>Ross_Brown: AEGRTUX O3 TUX +27 397
#note 4K GRU(M)E is 9 points better than this.
>Joshua_Sokol: ?DIJMNP 14I DJINs +37 323
#note but that's because Ross doesn't have any other out than (R)AGER, and I can block or just not give it him the points. G8 M(U)sJID is 11 better than this. Wait. How is ORGIACS* not a word!!! nevermind anything I said earlier. I thought it was
>Ross_Brown: AEGR 15F RAGE +18 415
#note And so did Ross apparently.
>Ross_Brown: (MP) +12 427
