>Clay_Daniel: ITTW 8F TWIT +14 14
>JD: ELLNORX I6 EX.OLL +22 22
#note important game to avoid going 0-7 on the day!! also not a great play - I chose this over OXEN for the much superior leave, but EXTOLL also opens up the board a lot more, giving Clay 12 extra points per turn next turn (OXEN can't really be overlapped).

>JD: MNPRRSU E11 .RUMP +11 83
#note on such a dead board, Q doesn't like me placing the P in the triple word score lane - prefers UNRIP through the I or PERM through the E.

#note oh man
>Clay_Daniel: ?ABEEHR O6 BREAcHE. +89 206
>JD: AFINOSU 12B FOU. +14 181
#note Q doesn't want me to open with FOUR at 12B. Q is wrong.
>Clay_Daniel: BKNO L12 B.NK +30 236
>JD: AINSSST 15L .ISS +24 205
#note wow, what a weird draw. I desperately wanted to hold onto my non-S consonants, hence KISS. But SAKTIS keeps an N and looks strong. even TAKINS keeping SS sims better. The reality is that even keeping ANST doesn't bingo that much given the unfriendly board, but I think that I have to gamble on drawing a bingo to catch up.
>Clay_Daniel: DLOY M3 O.DLY +28 264
>JD: AAENSTZ K10 TZA. +30 235
#note I didn't really want to mess with the bottom-left since it's effectively my last bingo lane, but I also need to score some points desperately. Q prefers FAZE - nothing looks great
>Clay_Daniel: EJ C11 J.E +20 284
>JD: AEGIINS K3 A. +5 240
#note I thought I desperately needed an opening. the cool alternative that I didn't spot (I was already under big time pressure because my previous moves were hard) is NISEI at N2, which will reach for the blank and leave me down only 14 points. At the same time, my fish could be tough to block depending on his rack.
>Clay_Daniel: DIV 2I VID +16 300
>JD: EEGIINS 9B GENIE +14 254
#note at this point NISEI ain't gonna win anything - feel good about my choice even though my quest is doomed. probably my best hope is to draw an A and set up two lanes at once on rows 1 and 3.
>Clay_Daniel: AOP 8B APO +16 316
#note oh god, he has the blank, doesn't he
>JD: AINQRST H1 QAT +44 298
>Clay_Daniel: ?EEIOTU A5 ETIc +24 340
>JD: ADHINRS 6D H.. +9 307
#note cruel irony of cruel ironies - clay's last play means that I HAVE A TIE!!! that is, if I hadn't gone over a minute. Can I please manage my time better in Lille? The solution is left to the reader.
>Clay_Daniel: EOU N6 OE +17 357
#note oh fine, the solution is to set up a big play to the triple with INS at N2 creating HARD/RINS unblockable!! could I have found that with more time? perhaps...
>JD: ADINRS C1 DRAINS +24 331
>JD: (U) +2 333
